Monthly Meal
Heritage Court Staff volunteer their time to prepare an early evening
meal for residents each month. The meals range from the traditional
turkey for Thanksgiving, ham for Easter to cookouts in the warmer
months - Christmas we celebrate with prime rib. The other months,
residents enjoy a variety of meals - pork with stuffing, homemade
turkey pie, lasagna, chicken breasts in sauce, homemade soup and more!
Summer meals are grilled hamburgers, brats, chicken breasts and corn
on the cob.
The highlight of the monthly meal is the dessert. No matter how hard
the residents try to find out what we are serving for dessert, we
always keep it a surprise until just before serving it.
Gambling
A member of our staff volunteers to take residents gambling to Oneida
each month. The “Lucky 13” and staff leave in a mini-van in the
afternoon and are back to Heritage Court by 7:30 pm. There are always
some winners and losers but everyone agrees they have a great time.
